OR Registered Nurse Job in Arlington, VA

Virginia Hospital Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. This is a 13-week contract assignment working day shifts Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no on-call requirement.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Level II Trauma center operating room serving adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and float to main OR as needed
• Support surgical specialties including general, gynecology, breast and plastics, urology, orthopedics, and podiatry
• Perform scrubbing duties for general, gynecology, orthopedic, ENT, plastics, podiatry, and urology surgeries
• Manage laparoscopic-assisted cases, arthroscopy, and total joint replacement procedures
• Operate surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Active Virginia or Compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic (OP Time OR) charting system

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level II Trauma center experience with trauma, neuro, ortho spine, general surgery, and robotics
• ACLS and CNOR certifications
• Previous charge nurse experience

Support and Environment:

You will work within an interdisciplinary team with access to IV teams, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and transportation support. Weekly pay is $2,448. Contract begins November 18, 2026.
