SLP Job in Sitka, AK

You will serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Mountainside Rehab Clinic, providing comprehensive SLP services to adult and pediatric populations across multiple care settings. This is a 4x10 days per week outpatient position based in Sitka, Alaska.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct speech-language pathology evaluations and implement treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and formulate diagnoses and prognoses per facility policy
• Provide SLP services in outpatient, inpatient, home health, and long-term care settings by physician referral
• Attend care conferences and rounds; maintain communication with referring providers, nurses, and rehabilitation team members
• Develop individualized patient education and home exercise programs to support rehabilitative goals
• Collaborate on care planning, arrange appropriate medical equipment, and prepare discharge recommendations
• Direct the work of support staff, students, or interns as needed
• Conduct community health services including visits to senior centers and home assessments
• Participate in video conferencing for training, patient encounters, and administrative duties
• Travel occasionally by boat or small plane to remote locations
• Assist with administrative matters, clinic operations, billing procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain clinical space cleanliness and supply stock

Required qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, CCC-SLP certification, Alaska state license (required at submittal), Basic Life Support certification, and pediatric and outpatient experience. Flu vaccine required. Position may involve repetitive or heavy lifting up to 50 pounds with physically demanding movements.

This 91-day assignment begins September 14, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,793.
