Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position on a PCU/Telemetry unit
• Scheduled as 4x12-hour night shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required as needed within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Primary diagnoses include CHF, new onset AFib, COPD, and pneumonia with some medical PCU overflow
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), heparin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, wound care, and post cardiac procedure care
• Possible drips include Heparin (per protocol), Bumex, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone (per protocol), and Dopamine
• No insulin drips; hypoglycemic/insulin protocols used
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Two pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
