CVOR Technologist Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join its Cardiovascular Operating Room team on a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts, 4x10 hours per week, scheduled between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Weekend hours and on-call coverage (averaging 5 or fewer per 8 weeks) are required as needed by the facility.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under surgeon and circulating nurse supervision
• Set up surgical cases across multiple specialty disciplines based on patient and surgeon needs
• Create and maintain a sterile field, perform instrument, sponge, and sharp counts
• Assist other OR staff and serve as a resource for newly hired technicians and visiting students
• Work with advanced equipment including the DaVinci robotic system
• Manage 1:1 patient ratios in a fast-paced, occasionally high-stress environment

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS certification from AHA
• Physical ability to stand and walk throughout most shifts, lift and push patients on stretchers, and handle equipment and instrument sets
• Professional appearance; black scrubs required; jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years in the field
• CORST licensure
• Experience with DaVinci robotic systems

The facility uses EPIC for its electronic medical record system. You will be expected to adapt to varying schedules and days based on patient requirements.

Compensation: $1,997 weekly. Assignment begins November 16, 2026.
