About this role
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, NM. This is a full-time position with no weekend or on-call requirements outside of shared department emergency coverage.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
- Weekly pay: $2,670
- Start date: July 27, 2026
- Duration: 91 days
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
- Execute technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac examinations
- Assist cardiologists during exam dictations by preparing and measuring M-modes and providing diagnostic information
- Coordinate with interrelated departments including scheduling exams, transporting patients, answering phones, and ensuring accurate billing
- Respond to patient needs during exams and report changes in patient condition to physicians or nursing staff
- Maintain quality control of equipment operation and examination quality
- Log patient records and file documentation in the department
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities at departmental and hospital-wide levels
- Stay current on advances in echocardiography and seek mentorship from cardiologists
- Assist with other cardiac procedures as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A.R.D.M.S./CCI registration or registry eligibility or comparable national accreditation
- State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
- BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
- Manual dexterity to perform echocardiograms
- Ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-year allied health education program with patient care focus
- Two years of actively performing echocardiograms
