OR RN Job in Devils Lake, ND

Altru Clinic - Devils Lake is seeking an RN for circulating and scrub roles in the operating room. This is an 8-hour shift position with a 91-day assignment starting November 2, 2026. You will earn $1,960 weekly.

Your Role

You will perform both circulating and scrub RN duties in a surgical setting. As a circulating nurse, you will coordinate patient care, maintain the sterile environment, document procedures, and ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance. As a scrub nurse, you will establish and maintain the sterile field, prepare instruments and supplies, anticipate surgeon needs, and maintain accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, hand surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, podiatry, ENT, and endoscopy
• Perform specialty procedures including c-sections, hand cases, podiatry, and cataracts
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative team members
• Participate in emergency and trauma procedures as required
• Assist with inventory management, equipment troubleshooting, and quality improvement initiatives
• Adapt to fluctuating surgical volumes common in rural healthcare environments

Schedule and Requirements

Straight day shifts with flexible scheduling options for 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. No call required on weekends; weekday call is limited to c-sections only.

You must hold a North Dakota or compact state license with no restrictions. Travel experience and rural healthcare background are required. Epic experience is required. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
