Oncology RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN in the Oncology department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, with your primary assignment at the St. Peters Hospital campus. This is a 91-day travel position beginning October 12, 2026, offering consistent daytime hours and no weekend or on-call requirements.

Shift & Schedule

• 5×8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• Shift times rotate among 7:15 AM–3:45 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Guaranteed hours provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week
• No more than 3 tardies and 2 call-ins per 13-week contract

Pay & Details

• $2,291 per week
• Navy scrubs required

Clinical Responsibilities

You will primarily work in the lab and injection area, drawing from ports and central venous catheters (CVCs). You must demonstrate strong assessment skills and competency in the following areas:

• Accessing and managing implanted ports
• Central line blood draws
• PICC line care and management
• Infusion center nursing
• Isolation and neutropenic precautions
• IM injections
• Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values

You will care for adult patients and may float occasionally to other Siteman Cancer Center satellite locations as needed.

Requirements

• RN license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC)
• Epic charting system experience
