NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery as needed
• Care for neonatal and infant patients in a Level III NICU setting
• Patient ratios of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Work with surgical patients, infants from 23 weeks and up, and cooling patients
• Utilize all respiratory modes including ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Perform and assist with special procedures including PICC, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, swallow studies, and line insertions (PICC and umbilical)
• Operate specialized equipment including Jet ventilator, high-frequency ventilator, high flow, CPAP, and manage ostomy care
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, UAC, UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
• Care for patients with neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Perform feedings including bottle, breast, and gavage and manage oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Valid California nursing license required
• Charting system experience required
