Electrophysiology Lab RN Job in Kansas City, MO

Join BJC West - Saint Lukes Hospital Plaza as a Registered Nurse in our 4-room Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. You will care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing specialized cardiac procedures in a focused clinical environment.

Role Details

• Work schedule: 5x8 days per week
• Contract duration: 91 days, starting November 30, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,928
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• No on-call requirements
• Float may be required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract

Requirements

• Current RN licensure: Kansas, Missouri, or compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Scrub experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills and Knowledge

You will manage patients across a broad range of EP procedures including pacemaker insertion and lead extraction, Watchman procedures, right heart catheterization, arrhythmia induction studies, and cardioversion. Clinical competencies include procedural sedation monitoring, IV vasopressor and antiarrhythmic administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG analysis, vascular access management, sheath removal with hemostasis techniques, and central line and PICC line care. You will work with advanced mapping systems (Opal, Farawave, Affera, Carto), temporary pacemakers, Zoll defibrillators, and vascular closure devices. Familiarity with radiation and laser safety, hypothermia and malignant hyperthermia protocols, and infection prevention is essential.
