Electrophysiology Lab RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in our Electrophysiology Lab. You will work day shifts only—4 days per week, 10 hours per day, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with 36 guaranteed weekly hours. No weekend hours or on-call requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist with electrophysiology cases, including device implants and ablations in a 3-room lab environment
• Operate and manage angiography equipment, including mobile units, and adjust digital angiographic exposure factors
• Evaluate and process digital images using PACS systems
• Assist interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons with diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and monitoring
• Position patients with sound understanding of anatomy and physiology
• Stand for up to six hours wearing lead apron, mask, surgical gown, protective eyewear, and gloves
• Clean and sterilize all EP lab equipment and supplies
• Perform routine department duties when procedures are not scheduled
• Float as needed to support facility operations
• Work collaboratively with radiology, OR, and interventional staff
• Respond effectively to emergency and stressful situations

Requirements

• Current RN license, eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of electrophysiology lab experience required
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (preferred)
• Proficiency with digital angiography equipment, interventional devices, EPIC EMR, PACS, and computer systems
