Job Details:

• Work 3 days per week with an estimated 12 hours per week
• Provide direct patient care as directed by RN and LPN, including activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting, and ambulating patients
• Maintain a safe and clean environment including completing safety checks, keeping patient rooms organized, cleaning department-specific equipment, changing bed linens, and ensuring hallways remain clear
• Respond to patient needs and calls in a timely manner
• Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to facilitate care delivery
• Deliver patient nourishments and assist with feeding as needed, including filling water pitchers
• Perform routine tests such as weights, vital signs, and intake and output monitoring
• Provide feedback to RN/LPN regarding patient care and report changes in patient status in a timely manner
• Document in the medical record according to established procedures
• Comply with safety policies and procedures including standard precautions and blood borne pathogen exposure policies
• Respond within the scope of the nursing assistant role to emergent situations
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Required certifications and licenses: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
