Medical Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Medical Technologist in the laboratory at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA. This is a 49-week travel assignment beginning June 15, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Role Details:

• Primary work in the blood bank department
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• No call responsibilities
• May float within facility and scope of practice as needed (rare)
• Must work holidays if they fall during your assignment period (1–2 holidays = work all; 3 holidays = work 2)
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• MLT credential not accepted for this position
• Required certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, or ABB
• Demonstrated experience with blood banking procedures, crossmatch procedures, transfusion reaction workup, ABO/Rh/Antibody screening, and various laboratory tests

Compensation and Timeline:

Weekly pay is $1,607.04. You must provide full document compliance by Tuesday prior to your start date to begin on time. Core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation modules are non-billable and vary by specialty.
