Pediatrics RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking an RN for their 36-bed pediatrics unit in Denver, Colorado. This is a travel position offering 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, for a 91-day assignment beginning October 26, 2026. You will earn $1,878 per week.

Unit Overview

The pediatrics unit features all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations. You will care for both step-down and basic care patients with the following staffing ratios:

• Step-down patients: 1:3 ratio
• Basic care patients: 1:4 ratio

Step-down patients include those recovering from spinal fusions, with chest tubes, and on high-flow oxygen. High-acuity patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or trach/vent support are transferred to the PICU.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will perform routine procedures including nasogastric tubes, Foley catheters, T-tubes, peripheral intravenous lines, and phlebotomy. Lumbar punctures may occur occasionally. You will work with Philips Monitors and Meditech EMR systems.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric RN experience
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Comfort with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion care, and chest tubes
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Willingness to work night shift

This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong teamwork and the ability to both ask for and offer support among colleagues. Flexible scheduling accommodates traveler requests alongside full-time staff needs. Candidates with multiple years of travel experience will be prioritized; however, first-time travelers willing to commit to night shift are welcome to apply.
