ED Registered Nurse Job in Turtle Lake, ND

CHI St Alexius Health Turtle Lake Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,250.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a team nursing model with a 1:8 nurse-to-patient ratio. Your responsibilities include initial trauma care assessment, IV medication administration, fluid and blood product administration, wound care, cardiac strip interpretation, and drip titration for electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions. You will work with EPIC charting and care for patients with dementia, stroke, geriatric conditions, diabetes management needs, and rehabilitation-focused care.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Rotating day and night shifts with every-other-weekend requirement
• Alternating holiday schedule (typically every other holiday)
• No call or standby requirements

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Competency in dementia care, stroke protocols, skin care, and geriatric patient management
• Within 50-mile radius for facility access

You may float between the ER and Med Surg units as needed. Three shifts of unit-specific orientation will be provided. Scrubs are required (color not specified). BSN is not required for this role.
