Endoscopy RN Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy department. You'll work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on a 4x10 schedule for a 91-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Shift and Scheduling

• 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every third weekend required; weekend call covers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Weekday call required Monday through Thursday
• On-call requirement: must remain within 30 minutes of the facility
• Floating within scope is possible but highly unlikely
• Facility may call off approximately 1 shift per 2 weeks

Role and Responsibilities

• Patient ratios are 1:1 in the procedure suite; pre-op and discharge ratios are 4:1
• Manage airway, assist with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• Care for esophageal varices and banding procedures
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care
• Recover patients from monitored anesthesia care sedation
• Handle specimen labeling and management
• Start and maintain intravenous lines
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy nursing experience
• SC license or Compact license required before start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proficiency with Olympus scopes, Olympus towers, and Gastro imaging software
