Med Surg RN Job in Muskogee, OK

Join Muskogee Campus as a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg unit. This 89-day travel position runs 3x12 rotating shifts, starting September 28, 2026, at $2,264.40 per week.

Your Role

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor and evaluate patient functional status and complete thorough patient assessments
• Individualize plans of care within established unit and nursing guidelines
• Provide nursing care with consideration for cultural, psychosocial factors, and patient age
• Organize, prioritize, and perform nursing skills appropriate for the patient population
• Anticipate patient and unit needs and demonstrate sound bio-psychosocial knowledge
• Delegate and communicate effectively with team members
• Document the nursing process accurately, concisely, and consistently using correct medical terminology
• Facilitate patient teaching and discharge planning with timely and appropriate referrals
• Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License required
• Willingness to float to other departments required
• Working knowledge of disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways required
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required
