Med Surg RN Job in Edmond, OK

OU Health in Edmond, OK is seeking an RN for a Med Surg role. This is a 12-hour shift position with an 89-day contract starting August 31, 2026. You will earn $2,259 weekly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work 3x12-hour shifts per week (48-hour shifts are not available)
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and observe physiological manifestations, intervening when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent patient care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
