ICU Registered Nurse Job in San Francisco, CA

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required with shifts based on unit needs, at minimum every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float as needed to TICU, Med/Tele, and Med/Surg units
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• 36-bed unit with a daily census of 30 patients
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 3 years of ICU experience required, 4 years preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CCRN
• California RN license required
• Key clinical skills required include: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, post neurosurgery management, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Additional skills include: CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, LVAD/RVAD management, TAVR, external ventricular drain, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, procedural sedation, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, phlebotomy, and PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
