ICU RN Job in Arcata, CA

Mad River Community Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for its intensive care unit. You will work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Position Details:

• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• Weekly pay: $2,223 at $90/hour
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 4, 2026
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

Your Responsibilities:

You will monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, manage ventilators and other life-support equipment, document patient responses to treatment, and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care. You will respond quickly to patient needs and maintain detailed, accurate clinical records.

Requirements:

• Active California nursing license (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

You will join a dedicated team at Mad River Community Hospital committed to delivering compassionate care to critically ill patients. This assignment offers the opportunity to practice high-level nursing skills in an acute care setting while maintaining the flexibility of a travel position.
