CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), a 147-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in the CVOR, serving adult and geriatric populations. You'll work a 3x12 days schedule at $3,038 weekly pay. Your responsibilities include maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio and delivering specialized care across a range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

Schedule & Expectations

• Work Friday through Sunday weekend coverage
• Variable call requirement: typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5–6 weeks
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to Main OR as needed
• No self-scheduling; block schedules are not honored
• Travelers must work major holidays falling within the assignment period
• All time-off requests must be finalized at submission; no RTO or schedule changes permitted post-offer or onsite

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• Demonstrated competency in CABG, TAVR, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, MAZE procedures, mitral valve replacement, thoracotomy, VATS, carotid endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, and scrub experience in cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgery

Preferred Qualifications

• Community hospital experience
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience
