Cath Lab Technologist Job in Baton Rouge, LA

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge, supporting a high-volume cardiology and radiology program. This is a 91-day travel assignment with flexible start dates beginning November 2, 2026.

Schedule and Expectations

• 5 days per week, 8–10 hour shifts with variable start times based on case schedules (typically 6:15 AM or 8:15 AM arrivals)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Call duty up to 3 times per week, with 30-minute response time; weekday call varies between 2–3 days depending on weekend assignments
• Willingness to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Clinical Role

You will manage an average daily census of 6 patients across 3 procedure rooms, performing peripheral vascular, EP, and interventional radiology procedures. You must demonstrate expertise with embolizations, coiling, ablations, and implants (ports, pacemakers, ICDs). Advanced device proficiency is required, including Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser atherectomy, and thrombectomy systems. Strong STEMI experience with door-to-balloon times under 60 minutes is essential. You will work independently and as part of a collaborative team, prioritizing patient safety and supporting colleagues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; prior travel experience mandatory
• Current ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), and CCI RCIS certifications
• Louisiana State License or compact license in hand at application
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and Cupid documentation systems
• Familiarity with Siemens and Canon imaging platforms, plus Medrad, ACIST, Inari, and AngioJet equipment
• EP and IR experience preferred; community hospital background a plus

Compensation

You will earn $3,202 per week. You must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (non-local travelers only).
