Cath Lab Technologist Job in Baton Rouge, LA

Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-week travel assignment. You will work 5 days per week on day shift with 8-10 hour shifts based on department staffing needs.

Schedule & Responsibilities

• Every other weekend coverage required
• Call required up to 3 times per week, including every other weekend
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes
• Weekday call: 3 days per week when not on weekend call; 2 days per week when assigned weekend call
• Average daily census of 6 patients
• Perform peripheral vascular and EP procedures independently
• Execute all Cath Lab procedures with expertise

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; no first-time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Strong STEMI experience with FTB/DTB times under 60 minutes
• Proficiency with embolizations, coiling, ablations, and implants including ports, pacemakers, and ICDs
• Experience with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser atherectomy, and thrombectomy devices
• Ability to work independently and expertly with all Cath Lab procedures
• Epic EMR with Cupid documentation experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• EP and IR experience preferred

Equipment Proficiency

• Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, AngioJet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, Medrad, ACIST, Siemens, and Canon imaging systems

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), CCI RCIS, and Louisiana State License

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,901. Assignment begins August 24, 2026.
