Medical Lab Technician Job in Lincoln, ME

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Maine. This is a full-time role offering three 12-hour day shifts per week following an initial training week.

Assignment Details

• Location: Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln, ME
• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days
• Weekly Pay: $1,671
• Rotating weekends, typically every 5th weekend
• Thursday night shift fill-in opportunities with ability to pick up additional vacancies
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday rotation required
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within the 12-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical laboratory testing and analysis
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures
• Execute Blood Bank testing protocols
• Work independently while maintaining effective communication with the laboratory team
• Multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program
• Current credentials as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist
• Proficiency in phlebotomy
• Ability to perform Blood Bank testing
• Microbiology experience preferred; if unavailable, must demonstrate competency in gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
