Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Rotating shifts available with options for straight days or nights, starting at 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT, RRT
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, aerosol setup, BiPAP/CPAP, arterial punctures, drawing arterial blood gases, bronchoscopy, direct intubation, extubation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), mechanical ventilation and weaning, tracheostomy care and management, ECMO, NICU, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, chest physiotherapy, and emergency department experience
• Additional skills required include: ARDS management, bag and mask, capillary blood gases, intubation assist, nasal and oral airway placement, oral/nasal suctioning, patient transport, pressure/volume ventilator, SIMV, and umbilical blood gases
• Medication administration experience required including: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
