About this role
Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for their Radiology and Cardiology Interventional Radiology department. This 91-day travel assignment offers you hands-on experience in a dynamic clinical setting with exposure to advanced imaging technology and interventional techniques.
Position Overview
You will work 4x10 hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, supporting interventional radiology procedures in an inpatient and outpatient setting. The department operates 4 angiography suites (two single-plane and two biplane), 1 dedicated CT scanner, and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management procedures. You will assist with neuro and peripheral interventions while maintaining proficiency with the Epic charting system.
Requirements
- Allied Health Professional credential as Special Procedures Technologist
- ARRT Registered with CV (Cardiovascular) or VI (Vascular Interventional) certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Virginia state license preferred; any active state license in hand or pending is accepted
- Minimum 2 years of experience in special procedures
- Demonstrated experience in neuro and peripheral interventions
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
Schedule and Contract Details
This is a 91-day assignment starting July 27, 2026. You will work four 10-hour days per week during day shifts. Weekend coverage may be required. You must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract, rotating with department staff. The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. All requests for time off (RTO), block scheduling, and special scheduling must be submitted with your application.
Compensation
Weekly pay is $2,940.
