Respiratory Therapist Job in Austin, TX

You are a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with at least one year of adult experience, ready to join South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas for a 13-week contract assignment.

Position Details

• Night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Weekly pay: $1,445.40
• Start date: October 12, 2026

Work Environment

South Austin Hospital is a 368-bed facility. You will work in a well-staffed environment with 6 to 7 respiratory therapists per shift. Your patient ratio will be 35–45 units of service (UOS).

Clinical Responsibilities

You will operate and manage a range of equipment, including Servo, Hamilton, and Airvo devices. The facility uses Meditech as its electronic medical record system, so familiarity with this platform is helpful.

Requirements

• RRT or CRT certification
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Minimum one year of adult respiratory care experience
• NICU experience is preferred but not required

Dress Code

You will wear an olive green scrub top and black scrub pants.
