Respiratory Therapist Job in Brownwood, TX

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for a travel position in Respiratory and Neuro Diagnostics. You will work 3x12 night shifts on a block schedule with weekend coverage included.

About the Role

You will provide respiratory care to patients across the full age spectrum—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your responsibilities will include mechanical ventilation and weaning, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) delivery, arterial blood gas interpretation and drawing, intubation assistance, tracheostomy care and management, bronchoscopy support, pulmonary hygiene, NICU care including bubble CPAP, capillary blood gas collection, and pediatric critical care protocols.

Qualifications

• Current license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 2 years in the service line preferred
• Some experience with neonates required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, and RRT
• Experience with Sunrise charting system required; Altera experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Certification verification required

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,915.
