Respiratory Therapist Job in Wichita, KS

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a seasonal travel position. This is a 91-day assignment starting October 12, 2026, working three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatments and ventilator management in a Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Manage both invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Operate equipment including V800 and Draeger ventilators, C1 Hamilton ventilators, and Airvo for High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HHFNC)
• Work within the Meditech EMR system
• Support a 760-bed facility with 24/7 adult intensive care physician coverage

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 6 months of RRT experience
• NBRC Certification
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric and PICU experience
• Strong ICU experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced critical care environment

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,926.
