Respiratory Therapist Job in Wichita, KS

You are a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current NBRC certification seeking a seasonal travel position at Wesley Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma facility in Wichita, Kansas. This 91-day assignment runs from October 12, 2026, and offers a structured schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Your Role

You will provide direct respiratory care and ventilator management in our intensive care setting. Your responsibilities include administering invasive and non-invasive ventilation therapies, managing equipment including V800 and Draeger ventilators, C1 Hamilton ventilators, and Airvo systems for high-flow nasal cannula (HHFNC) delivery. You will document all clinical activities in our Meditech EMR system and collaborate with ICU teams during a fast-paced, dynamic critical care environment.

Requirements

• Current RRT certification with minimum 6 months of active experience
• Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Strong ICU-level clinical experience in critical care
• Pediatric or PICU experience is preferred

Facility Details

Wesley Medical Center is a comprehensive trauma center with 24/7 adult intensive care physician coverage. The facility operates a 15-bed PICU, a Level 3 NICU, and maintains ECMO capabilities for adult patients. You will work within a collaborative critical care network that supports a wide acuity range.

Compensation

You will receive $1,926 per week for this seasonal travel assignment.
