EEG Technician

Opportunity:

EEG Tech - EEG Tech Respiratory Neuro

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM with weekend rotation
• Possible one to two weekends worked per month depending on coverage from in-house technicians
• Performs routine and specialized non-invasive neurological tests as ordered by physician for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease
• Works independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures
• Delivers accurate results to physicians in a timely manner
• Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, family/support groups, and other healthcare providers through patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
• Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Special procedures include EMU/LTM/REEG
• Special equipment used includes Nihon Kohden/Neuroworkbench
• Charting system experience required in Epic
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: ABRET, BLS
• Required skills include Adult ICU, Adult Inpatient, Adult Outpatient, Ambulatory EEG, EEG Brain Death, Electrode Placement, Long Term Monitoring/Video Monitoring, Portable Recording, Sleep EEG, and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP)
