Med Surg RN Job in Rockport, ME

You'll work as an RN on a 45-bed Medical-Surgical unit at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, Maine. This is a day shift position running 3x12 hour schedules, with a 91-day contract starting October 4, 2026. You'll earn $2,417.76 weekly.

Schedule and Requirements

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, days
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Your Role

You'll care for medical-surgical, orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients with a typical patient ratio of 1:5 on days. Top diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and pneumonia. The unit admits pediatric patients to the general floor; you'll need PALS certification to care for them. Float requirements apply across the unit.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred, plus travel nursing experience
• Strong IV skills and telemetry monitoring experience required
• Proficiency with required documentation systems
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred

Facility and Systems

The facility uses EPIC for the EMR system. Equipment you'll work with includes Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Philips Cardiac Monitor.

Dress Code

Wear clean scrubs in any color without prints. Hoodies, Crocs, and shoes with holes or open toes are not acceptable.
