Job Details:

• Day shift position working Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Perform a wide variety of CT technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history for each procedure
• Administer contrast media following established procedures to ensure patient safety
• Ensure all studies have proper patient identification and appropriate right and left markers
• Review CT and radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Verify correct patient identity using 2 unique identifiers prior to performing procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection equipment
• Maintain competency with venipuncture
• Adjust imaging technique to ensure patients receive the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation
• Send all completed studies to PACS immediately after completion
• Operate all workstations associated with the CT department
• Transport and position patients and assist them on and off procedure tables
• Apply shielding, supportive, and immobilization devices and equipment
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulatory agency standards
• Take call when necessary
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year of CT experience preferred
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Required certifications upon hire: ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R), ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT), and BLS (AHA or ARC)
