RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Provide general nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and other medical professionals regarding patient care
• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation and understanding
• Counsel patients and family members before, during, and after treatment
• Educate patients and families on medication use, dosage, and common side effects
• Respond to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient treatment and examinations
• Place, change, and monitor catheters as needed
• Complete physical assessments, head-to-toe assessments, and track intake and output (I&Os)
• Serve as a patient advocate and develop individual patient care plans
• Safely move or lift patients as needed using machines, staff assistance, and/or devices
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments using Medication Pass and Medication Dispense Machine as ordered by physician
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Current Arizona or Compact RN License required
