Operating Room RN Job in Ironwood, MI

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel assignment with four 10-hour day shifts per week, providing 40 guaranteed hours weekly. Start date is July 6, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,783.20.

Schedule and On-Call Expectations:

• Day shifts typically run 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM depending on surgical cases
• On-call required 1–2 times per week from end of shift through 7:00 AM the following day
• Occasional weekend call covering Friday through Monday 7:00 AM
• Holiday call required; no mandatory holiday shifts

Role Responsibilities:

You will work across the facility's 3 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room, managing cases from surgical admission through unit discharge when on call. Float assignments include pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulating roles. You will assist with a broad range of procedures including orthopedic (total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, hip fractures, I&Ds), general surgery (laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, hemorrhoidectomy, lumpectomy, lesion removals), OB/GYN (hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, laparoscopic salpingectomy), ophthalmology (cataract removal), endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopy), and podiatry (bunionectomy).

Required Qualifications:

• Current Michigan RN license
• Associate Degree or BSN
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience with strong circulating skills
• Pre- and post-op experience required; PACU experience preferred
• BLS certification (ARC or AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Charting is completed using Epic. The facility provides scrub colors. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility. This position requires a hard-working, resilient professional who manages change well and works collaboratively with the team.
