Job Details:

• 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week with variable start times, normally 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with potential start times as early as 6:30 AM or as late as 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM depending on cases
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• On-call required 1-2 times per week from end of shift through 7:00 AM the following day
• Occasional weekend call covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through 7:00 AM Monday
• No holiday shifts required, but holiday call is required
• When on call, nurse will manage cases from surgical admission through unit discharge
• Float requirements include pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulating cases
• Work in a facility with 3 ORs and 1 endoscopy room
• Perform and assist with a wide range of surgical cases including orthopedic (total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, hip fractures, I&Ds), general surgery (lap appy, lap chole, lap hernia, hemorrhoidectomy, lumpectomy, lesion removals), OB/GYN (hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, lap salpingectomy), ophthalmology (cataract removal), endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopy), and podiatry (bunionectomy)
• Charting completed using Epic
• Scrub colors provided by facility
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required with strong circulating experience
• Pre/post-op experience required; PACU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (ARC or AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Michigan RN license required
• Associate Degree or BSN required
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change well, and a social candidate
• 50-mile radius rule from facility applies
