PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll work as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a 16-hour night shift position with a duration of 89 days, starting July 13, 2026. You'll earn $3,457 per week.

In this role, you'll provide direct patient care to a assigned group of critically ill pediatric patients. Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and documenting physiological data, observing patient responses to treatments, and intervening as necessary
• Administering medications as prescribed by physicians
• Initiating, regulating, and monitoring intravenous infusions and blood products
• Assisting physicians with patient examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Noting all changes in physician orders and communicating updates to the care team
• Delivering consistent, competent patient care
• Communicating with patients and families about care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Making appropriate referrals for specialized patient care needs
• Delegating tasks to support staff as needed

You'll be expected to bring Level 1 critical care experience to this position. Your background in pediatric intensive care and the ability to manage complex patient situations in a fast-paced environment are essential. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, support staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
