CT Technologist Job in Gardner, MA

Heywood Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging department on a rotating shift schedule. This 91-day travel assignment begins September 28, 2026, and offers the opportunity to work days and evenings with rotating weekends. You will earn $2,626 per week.

In this role, you will operate CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Your responsibilities include:

• Operating CT scanning equipment and image processors to ensure diagnostic quality images
• Interpreting physician scanning instructions and selecting correct computer and technical factors for each examination
• Administering contrast materials and ensuring accurate contrast injection procedures
• Properly positioning patients for each procedure to optimize image quality
• Reviewing physician orders for accuracy prior to examination start
• Entering orders and charging procedures into the Meditech Computer System
• Coordinating daily work schedules and patient flow to ensure timely exam completion
• Assessing patients to determine optimum exposure techniques and taking appropriate precautions for women of childbearing age
• Maintaining a safe environment by following proper radiation safety procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
• Massachusetts DPH Radiology License required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred and required within two years of hire
• Experience on Toshiba CT Scanners is a plus
