Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed unit caring for telemetry, post-operative surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips
• Administer and monitor drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 24 months of current nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
