PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• One required late shift per week
• One required call shift per week
• One required call weekend every 6 weeks
• On-call is required
• Holiday call day: 11/27
• Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• Patient ratio: 1:2 during day shifts
• Daily census ranges from 20 to 40 patients
• Unit has 11 beds
• Patients include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include general surgery, endoscopy, peripheral vascular, PPM/ICD, cardiac ablations, orthopedics, and ENT
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Critical care training preferred
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Special equipment includes PCA pump
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
• Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
