PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first time travelers welcome
• Patient ratios: 3.6 days, 5 nights, 4 weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG/Dysrhythmia Interpretation exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration), non-invasive airway management, telemetry monitoring, and titration of insulin drips
• Care for patients with conditions including sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, hypertensive crisis, heart failure, syncope, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, acute renal failure, and various other medical diagnoses
• Subject to float between all campuses as needed
• 24 orientation hours provided
• Up to two pre-approved time off requests accepted at time of application; no post-submission RTO accepted
