Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule consists of 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Required certification: ACLS
• South Carolina license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:14 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients with diagnoses including acute respiratory failure, acute on chronic respiratory failure, tracheostomy weaning, hypoxia, and ventilator weaning
• Perform special procedures including assisting with bronchoscopy and thoracentesis
• Operate and manage special equipment including ventilators, high flow oxygen delivery systems, and airway clearance systems
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Daily census of 28 patients
• May be required to float to other units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented
