Job Details:

• Evaluate speech/language and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other causes
• Synthesize patient data to establish evidence-based practice interventions and care plans appropriate to patient's age and development
• Interact and collaborate with variety of professionals to implement and assess intervention programs
• Float between NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed
• Caseload dependent patient ratios
• Must have neonatal experience and Modified Barium Swallow Study experience
• Pediatric and adult experience preferred
• Work with EMR systems: Meditech Magic/Meditech Expanse
• Required certifications: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Dress code: Dark blue scrubs, bare below the elbows in NICU
• Must demonstrate high-functioning capabilities, strong self-motivation, and proactive approach
• Expected to show initiative, independence, and provide timely quality patient care
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• Complete other duties as assigned
