PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool

Job Details:

• Float pool position rotating between various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Day shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required
• Must have PICU and NICU experience and be comfortable with pediatric patients of all ages
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Must float within scope of practice as needed across assigned pediatric units and may occasionally float to L&D and Mother/Baby during staffing needs
• Must have Epic experience - charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• BSN preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate (can submit with certification pending)
• Virginia nursing license required (pending license accepted)
• Must adhere to float pool policy
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO approved during first 2 weeks of assignment
• Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, ECMO, central line care, CRRT, IV vasopressors, pediatric dosage calculations, care of ventilated patients, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
