Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities when census is down
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Care for patients with observation, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical patients
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry, PICC line management, peripheral line care, wound care/wound vac, starting and maintaining IVs, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, oral suctioning, surgical drains, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• 48 orientation hours provided
• Active NC nursing license must be in hand at submission
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
