ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to Med/Surg Tele and Tele unit within scope of practice
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Cerner documentation system experience preferred
• Accudose medication system used
• SBAR communication system utilized
• Treats adult patient population
• Patient ratios typically 1:2, with occasional flex to 1:3
• Stepdown assignments within the ICU may include 1:3 patient ratios
• Unit-specific EKG testing required
• Required skills include:
  - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  - Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  - Central line care and management
  - Starting and maintaining IVs
  - Care of ventilated patients
  - Ventilator management
  - Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Blue scrubs required
