Physical Therapist Job in Chesapeake, VA

Join Chesapeake Regional Medical Center as a Physical Therapist delivering home health rehabilitation services in the Chesapeake, Virginia area. This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work directly with patients in their homes while building your clinical experience and expanding your skill set.

Position Details:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule
• Weekend availability required for orthopedic cases only (every 4th or 5th weekend)
• 6 to 7 weighted visits per day
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments for patients with injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases
• Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance
• Work to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability in home health patients
• Provide education and information to patients and caregivers
• Participate in required discharge planning and complete all required documentation according to policy

Requirements:

• Virginia PT State License required
• CPR certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Home health experience preferred
• MatrixCare or Epic experience preferred, but not required
