SLP Job in Utica, NY

You will work as a Speech Language Pathologist at Mohawk Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a long-term care facility in Utica, New York. This is a day shift position running Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, for an 88-week assignment beginning September 29, 2026.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate patient potential and guide treatment planning
• Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs for residents across the facility
• Collaborating with medical staff, nursing, and house staff to coordinate patient care
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in the facility's Epic EMR system
• Applying knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system to support billing and compliance

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association
• Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain it
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Epic/EMR software
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills
• Excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams

This position offers competitive weekly compensation of $2,841. You will be part of a supportive healthcare team committed to delivering quality rehabilitation services to residents in a structured long-term care environment.
