Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Richmond, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Childrens Hospital of Richmond at VCU. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 4x10-hour day shifts, starting September 14, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,960.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor and scrub based on your skill set and lab needs
• Support pediatric and EP lab procedures including cardiac ablation, mapping, cardioversion, pacemaker insertion, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), arrhythmia induction, and pulmonary angiography
• Work with patient populations from neonates through adults, primarily focused on congenital heart disease
• Float within scope as needed to support lab operations

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Pediatric cath experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Previous charge experience required
• Proficiency with Epic and GE Mac Lab systems
• Experience with specialized equipment including Siemens Artis Icono bi-plane and Storz collaboration equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Claris experience for EP procedures
• Familiarity with EnSite mapping system

Facility Details:

This is a low-volume unit performing approximately 140 cases per year. On-call requirements will begin at 2 shifts per week with gradual increase based on lab needs. The facility maintains a natural nail policy, and you will receive 40 hours of orientation upon arrival.
