ICU RN Job in Kearney, NE

You'll work as an RN in the ICU at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (6:30 PM to 6:30 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement (Saturday and Sunday)
• Minimum of 2 holidays required within contract timeframe
• Self-scheduling available; block scheduling not guaranteed
• If placed on call and called in, you must arrive within 30 minutes

Your Role

• Care for adult ICU patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage patients with diagnoses including trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose and substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
• Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
• Read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using the GE monitor system with tele tech oversight
• Manage patients on respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to ventilator
• Floating may occur to PCU or occasionally Med/Surg with a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
• 1 shift of unit-specific orientation provided

Requirements and Details

• Current RN license (BSN not required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• Charting system: EPIC
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments

Compensation

You'll earn $2,547 per week.
