CVOR RN Job in Valparaiso, IN

Porter Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana is seeking a Registered Nurse with cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, five days per week, with guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as circulator in a dedicated 12-bed cardiovascular surgery unit focused on open heart cases
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio during surgical procedures
• Manage care for open heart cardiovascular surgery cases with potential exposure to orthopedic, neuro, Da Vinci Robot, general, gynecology, and podiatry procedures
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation
• Wear surgical blue scrubs as facility standard

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of open heart surgical experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to work call requirements including weeknights and weekends
• Reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Assignment Details

• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Contract length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Weekly pay: $3,141
• No floating to other units required
• Block scheduling not available
• Maximum one week of paid time off allowed
• Blackout dates apply during the week of Christmas
