CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a travel position with a start date of November 16, 2026, lasting 91 days.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek. Weekly pay is $2,626. You'll be scrubbing cardiovascular cases and may float to other OR specialties as needed. On-call is required at approximately 100 hours per 6-week period, including one call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening through Monday morning). You must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time travelers accepted with Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required
• Valid Indiana, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start (pending Indiana license accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Core competencies: 3 out of 4 cardiovascular skills, heart and lung transplant experience, endovascular procedures experience a plus

Clinical Focus

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 1:1 patient ratio during the day. Special procedures include heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO. Key skills include aortic aneurysm repair and advanced cardiovascular techniques.
